Film for Peace
Create, marvel, upset, transform
You are a teacher. Gather your pupils around and let them create a short film in the service of peace.
The principle : Encourage students to create a video without dialogue whose postulate is: ‘You have 60 seconds to convince the person who is about to trigger the nuclear weapon to give it up’.
Who can participate ? A group of students between 15 and 20 years old [perhaps we should revise this to 15 – 20], supervised by a teacher from a school that is associated with UNESCO or shares UNESCO’s values. The school will have previously applied to the Country Referent.
Creation tools : Smartphones.
Specifications : 60 seconds, generic material included. Landscape format, in colour or black and white. Any submissions in ‘portrait format’ will be rejected for technical reasons in case of broadcast. No dialogue.
Genre : Fiction.
Structure and format : Time 1: Generic beginning ‘1 to 3’ specifying the original title of the film in English / French; Time 2: Your original story; Time 3: Closing credits – class / school and country, also mention ‘PEACE The Contest FTV / UNESCO Edition 2018/2019’.
Submission : The work will be submitted in MP4 format by the head of the institution to the Country Referent no later than 15 june 2019, with the name of the school (or class) and the supervising teacher.
