This reflection could be that of a student participating in these educational visits organized by many schools from Europe and the world.
From Poland, Germany and elsewhere, teachers offer their pupils visits to “Nazi German concentration and extermination camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau *”. The main objective is to sensitize them to the “Worst of Man”, when it is dehumanized, confronting them with the historical reality, not related to fantasy or imagination. These visits help to promote dialogue and debate in classrooms and try to guard against all forms of extremism. In France, the Holocaust Memorial organizes these study trips with schools and volunteer students.
